José Carlos Madaleno "GURÚ"
The mastermind behind the great bike adventures
Born in Angola in 1968, The Guru has traveled by bike for more than 600.000 Km and crossed 59 different countries, such as Angola, South Africa, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Portugal, France, Norway, Russia, USA, Australia, among many others. Also has in is Curriculum a participation in the mythical DAKAR (2006), where he participated as co-pilot having finished in 10th place of the Rookies. Similarly finished in 13th place overall Rally Transorientale (2008), connecting St. Petersburg to Beijing, driving a Nissan Otin. His fascination with motorcycles began very early: while others ride their bicycles, The Guru already traveled around in his Honda Mini Trail, a motorcycle that taught him to ride, even before he learned writing and reading. From then on, he has never stoped. In 2010, he thought of a World Tour in 5 stages, and that was the moment when he was named The Guru of the Eleven's.
His great experience in organizing and developing methods always results in a rewarding surprise for whoever participates in the journeys he creates.
Having his BMW 1200 GSA as a loyal companion, the routes he chases can deliver different experiences in any kind of terrain or road. At the end, everything is fuelled by his great passion for motorbikes.
